Test Environments

EXB has experience with test environments that may consist of many different variations of operating systems, languages, scripts, simulators, and tools. A test environment is the combining of these items together to achieve the current task. This will exploit the strengths and efficiencies of each item to achieve a common goal.

Project Example
Title: A380 Test Environment

The Airbus A380 is the world’s largest commercial airliner. EXB was hired to work on software for the next generation Air Data Inertial Reference Unit (ADIRU) on the A380 aircraft. The ADIRU supplies information to the flight management system and other aircraft systems about altitude, air speed, aircraft attitude (orientation relative to earth) and aircraft position. EXB was tasked with enhancing and supporting the A380 ADIRU software design, as well as system verification activities and high and low level test environments used by both customer and its outsource vendors.

EXB test environment tasks were for Inertial Reference and Inertial Sensor software components and included the following:

  • Defined and created high level test environment.
  • Defined and created low level test environment.
These tasks provided automation for the build and execution of high and low level test environments and software tests.
