In order for EXB to efficiently utilize available equipment and resources, we strive to automate tests when appropriate. Automated tests provide a more consistent means of retest, provides better performance, and reduces costs over the product’s life cycle.
Project Example
Title: UG7000 Queuing Tool
Customer was losing productivity and resource allocation by not having a system that allowed for full test resource utilization and automated set up. EXB was requested to design, create and implement a queuing tool that would maximize utilization of expensive test equipment. Tests could be run 24 hours per day using the system, ultimately increasing productivity and output.
EXB was instrumental in achieving high success on this project by knowing the details of the need, providing leadership in the design of the system and training of the engineers using the protocol. Because of this success, EXB has been requested to lead the effort in supporting customer’s effort to maximize usage of their investment by converting additional project areas to the test queuing tool.
