Principal Engineer, Founder and Board Member
Mr. Gauthier has founded two companies in the engineering services industry. He has over 30 years of experience as a systems/software design engineer using formal development standards. Mr. Gauthier has comprehensive experience in all technical phases of software engineering including requirements specification, design, implementation, debugging, and testing. In addition, he has broad experience in project planning, costing, scheduling, and interfacing with customers. Mr. Gauthier has developed real-time embedded software and application software for numerous medical, military and commercial applications, both large and small.
At Boston Scientific, Mr. Gauthier was a major contributor to the verification testing of two Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator devices and development of an automated test system. He was a significant contributor to the development of Kodak’s successful DryView line of medical laser imagers for printing diagnostic film. At Honeywell, he developed software for a variety of avionics products for commercial aircraft including the Airbus A320/A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11. He also designed and implemented a GPS simulator for testing avionics devices that incorporate GPS functionality without relying on actual GPS satellites. Mr. Gauthier has successfully designed and implemented numerous military weapon systems simulation programs and was a key contributor to the software development of a dynamic road simulator for lab testing of full-size automobiles at MTS Systems Corporation. He has developed real-time data acquisition and analysis systems for use in production environments and he played a primary role in developing software for real-time encryption of data stored on a secure network server.
Mr. Gauthier has an MS in Computer Science, BS in Computer Science, and a BS in Mathematics, all from the University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology. He also has completed numerous continuing education courses in software engineering and design.
